ABSTRACT
THE INFLUENCE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ON ACCOUNTING AND TAXATION IN ORGANIZATIONS: A LITERATURE REVIEW
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become an integral part of daily life, work environments, organizations, and intelligent integrated systems. This study seeks to explore the integration of AI-based technologies within scientific research, emphasizing their application in organizational contexts and their influence on the fields of taxation and accounting. The primary objective is to examine how organizations are leveraging AI techniques in their operations, with a particular focus on the Accounting and Fiscal sectors. To achieve this, a narrative literature review will be conducted, aiming to evaluate and synthesize existing studies that showcase the implementation of AI in organizational processes and management. The review is structured around three key areas: (a) the adoption of AI within organizations; (b) the application of AI in accounting practices; and (c) the use of AI in tax and fiscal activities. The findings highlight the deployment of specialized AI-driven solutions by organizations, predominantly in addressing business objectives, operational challenges, and auditing processes. However, significant research gaps are identified in the utilization of AI within the accounting and tax sectors. In the accounting domain, existing studies are largely focused on organizations that develop accounting solutions, with an emphasis on process automation rather than using AI to analyze accounting outcomes, uncover patterns, and propose enhancements to client business management strategies. Conversely, in the tax sector, there is a notable absence of research investigating the application of AI to assist corporate activities. The available studies are primarily centered on combating tax evasion, with a focus on governmental institutions.
